The New York Jets first round pick, safety, Calvin Pryor has been diagnosed with a concussion on Sunday.
Dubbed the Louisville Slugger as a hard hitter, having knocked three players out of games his last year in college, ironically got “knocked out” himself during punt return / special teams practice at JETS training camp.
The concussion came during a drill on Saturday and he is now subject to league concussion medical protocols.
“Pryor now will go through the protocol, so it is a concussion, Apparently it was on a kick when we were doing a kick return drill and he was blocking and the returner kind of got knocked into him and kind of just hit him right. It’s one of those things. One of those heavyweights hit you in the chin, the lights go out I guess.”
