Safety – ED REED, the future hall of fame candidate, becomes an analyst.
ED REED played safety for the Baltimore Ravens Tennessee Titans and New York Jets.
REED was waived by the Jets after the 2013 Season.
Reed was signed with the Jets during the 2013 season after being waived by the titans.
He managed to add three more interceptions to his stats while with the team.
Reed was still seeking to play this year stating that he felt he still could contribute. Many teams saw his age as a deterrent however and he was not linked to any teams this off-season.
Many thought REED would utilize his talents in a different way, perhaps seeking a coaching position.
Reed had taken the Jets’ Dee Milliner under his wing last year helping the rookie hone his craft. Milliner was actually named defensive rookie of the week towards the end of the 2013 Season, having previously been benched three separate times for poor performance.
ED REED is considered by many to be a first ballot NFL HALL OF FAME candidate.
We wish him well as an analyst on the program “Inside the NFL” and suspect he’ll be keeping his options open.
