The New York Jets cut center Dalton Freeman in their first round, getting the team to 78 players.
The only problem with the move is that he was teams primary to replace Nick Mangold who was drafted in 2006.
Freeman did an excellent job of holding down the position when Mangold went down to injury.
The matter is not moot as the Buffalo Bills, whose head coach happens to be Rex Ryan took the opportunity to snap up once he hit the market.
The JETS and head coach Todd Bowles will now rely on Wesley Johnson.
Johnson, also in his second year, has no NFL experience at the position and was originally being looked at to fill a line position.
Not to fret Jets fans, Willie Colon is still the starter at the right guard position.
September 5th will be a very interesting date in Jets history the cuts continue in this fashion.
