Jets go after Outside linebacker

The Jets  reached an agreement Friday on a two-year deal with former Canadian Football League defensive lineman/Outside linebacker Freddie Bishop III.

CAREER HISTORY:

Bishop signed with the Detroit Lions on May 14, 2013 after going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Released on June 26, 2013.

Bishop was signed to the Calgary Stampeders practice roster on July 16, 2013.

Bishop recorded five tackles and a sack in the Stampeders win against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 102nd Grey Cup.

A Michigan native, Bishop (6-4, 265 pounds) had a breakout season for the Calgary Stampeders in 2015, recording 11 sacks, 44 tackles and forced fumble in 16 games.

Bishop, 25, joined the Stampeders in 2014, recording three sacks in nine games. For his career, he’s accumulated 14 sacks in 25 games and was a Grey Cup champion in 2014.
According to ESPN, he had visited with seven NFL teams.
